Principal
Work Experience:
I believe schools are at their best when students feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. I share our community’s strong commitment to student safety and to creating a nurturing environment where students are known, valued, and challenged through rigorous instruction.
As an educator, I have had the privilege of working with students from kindergarten through eighth grade, an experience that has shaped my understanding of child development and the importance of strong relationships at every stage. Most recently, I served as vice principal at Hackettstown Middle School, following several years as a classroom teacher and teacher leader. Throughout my career, I have been grateful for opportunities to collaborate with dedicated educators and families, and I look forward to building on the many great things already in place while continuing to support a positive, kind, hard working, school culture.
Philosophy:
My philosophy as a principal is grounded in the belief that every child is a unique individual who deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported in a nurturing learning environment. When students feel accepted and encouraged, they are more willing to take risks, believe in themselves, and reach their fullest potential. I believe in maintaining high expectations for both academic and social growth while ensuring that students are supported in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways.
I also believe that schools thrive when they reflect the diverse experiences of the students and families they serve. Our school should be both a mirror and a window, reflecting students’ identities while also offering opportunities to learn about the world beyond themselves. By working in partnership with families and the broader community, I strive to foster a school culture rooted in curiosity, respect, and a sense of wonder, where every student feels connected and inspired to learn.
